19th: Finally, got some time to work on the bellcranks. Here's the left assembly clecoed to some scrap clamped in the vice for final reaming to press-fit the bronze bushings. Adjustable reamers are OK, but not fool-proof. The holes got a bit hex-shaped, but managed to round them out for final smoothing.

19th: The poor man's arbor press: a 15mm socket and the bracket and bushing in the bench vice for the press fit part. A word of caution: go slow reaming out the inside of the bearing for the 5/16" steel sleeve, so as not to put too much torque on the bronze-aluminum joint.

Still later on the 19th, test assembled the bellcranks: The right one, on the bottom, went together smoothly. The AN3-6A bolts called out on the plans for the brackets seemed too short, so I went up to AN3-7A with one AN960 washer. The left one needed shims, used regular printer paper. Clecoed up the left number 9 rib. This one gets the 4th rivet hole in the clips cut off, as they are on the flange side of the rib and stick out past the vertical stiffeners. I used my adjustable square to line up the clips with the rib face, but won't drill out to #30 until the wing skins are fitted, for final adjustments flush with the skin.
