Build chronology milestones

November 2005: The kit arrives
December 2005: First parts built: stub rudder
June 2006: Main spars
December 2006: Flaps and rear spars
June 2007: Fitting right wing ribs
December 2007: The engine arrives; skinning the right wing.
May 2008: The right wing is hung on the wall; work starts on left wing assembly
December 2008: Fitting left tip rib.
September 2009: Installed landing light brackets and wiring conduit--closing the wings.
October 2009: Moving the project to our retirement home.

Chronology

December 2005

31st. This month was spent acquiring materials and building a pole brake with which to bend the rudder horn and tailplane "hockey stick" parts. Here is the finished (but crude) pole brake with the rudder horn ready to bend.
	2nd. Construction officially starts, with WIX-T13-04, a tiny rudder rib gusset made from 0.032 angle stock. The part was too small to use the band saw, but hand hacksaw, file, and cutoff wheel did the job nicely. Ordered nylon rod material to make a pole brake for bending the rudder horn (top laser-cut piece).
